Former President Clinton Advocates New Gun And Magazine Ban - A "Communitarian Movement"

Here's the second time Bill Clinton's mentioned communitarianism in the last six months. Did anyone else besides the NRA notice he said this in January? How is it possible that Clinton's out there telling people about communitarianism (not communism Henry) and still so few are curious enough to find out what he means? The NRA understands it, they wrote the first legal analysis of communitarian law sometime before I found them in 2000. They can see how our law protecting individual rights is an "impediment to uniformly adopting values the movement considers appropriate." Should anyone else care what values this forward movement holds?
"[W]e're now in a position to begin again," he said. "It's not a leftward movement. It's a forward, communitarian movement." Communitarianism is a movement that considers individualism an impediment to society uniformly adopting values the movement considers appropriate, including authoritarian gun control. For example, the Communitarian Network platform states "there is little sense in gun registration. What we need to significantly enhance public safety is domestic disarmament of the kind that exists in practically all democracies." Former President Bill Clinton quoted 2/6/09 by NRA-ILA http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Federal/Read.aspx?id=4405

What else can Bill Clinton tell us about communitaian values? Why do communitarians profess to care so much about our "health?" Clinton's Global Initiative is at the top of this list:
"SPECIAL EVENT ON "PHILANTHROPY AND THE GLOBAL PUBLIC HEALTH AGENDA" -- 23 February 2009

The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will hold a Special Event on Philanthropy and the Global Public Health Agenda organized jointly by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the United Nations Office for Partnerships, in collaboration with the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy and the World Health Organization. The programme will be held on International Corporate Philanthropy Day, 23 February 2009, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the United Nations Headquarters, New York City.

The special event will serve as part of the preparatory process for the ECOSOC’s 2009 Annual Ministerial Review (AMR) on “Implementing the internationally agreed goals and commitments in regard to global public health”. http://www.un.org/ecosoc/phlntrpy/philanthropy09.shtml

I appreciate you checking in, it's nice to know some of my silent readers are friendlies. and don't feel bad, I don't understand all of what I write either. :) You're very welcome for any help it's been.

I regularly participate in an Internet forum run by our state right-to-carry group (IowaCarry.org). I've begun using that Clinton quote as my signature block on the forum. I've highlighted the word "communitarian" bold letters and the phrase "domestic disarmement" in red letters.

I'm trying to get people to take notice.
