The International Journal of Neighbourhood Renewal

clear days mean cold nights

Mt Wrangell peeking out behind gertee

revised platform bed with new shower!

We're having a gorgeous spring in Kenny Lake this year. I got a little ahead of myself when I put my sleeping bag in the wash and store pile though. After two nights of freezing and thrashing about and finally dragging myself awake to start a fire and get the house above 20 degrees, I dug my dirty, smelly down sleeping bag out of the laundry pile and slept like a baby last night. It's so lovely in my gertee now I almost forget I'm still camping in sub zero temps, until early morning comes and it always reminds me. Got another cord of wood delivered which means I can burn hot fires and make use of the new shower set-up I built in the living area. Put it right next to my bed where the coat/winter gear closet was. Pure luxury and I really don't mind having all the nice smelling soaps and lotions near my head while I sleep. With a steady water source I could take a bath every night!

Still having lots of trouble with my browsers but sometimes, like today, super slow but it works well enough to blog. facebook barely loads. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-ap-us-feds-on-facebook,0,6183802.story

So here's the link that's the title of this post:
http://www.neighbourhoodjournal.com/index.html

"We provide training and development services for a range of organisations in the field of evaluation, appraisal, programme management, project development and strategy development. Training is provided at over 40 locations across the UK and Ireland and is also available for in house training if required. "

Somehow I'm on their email list and now I get these updates from them. So today since my browser is working so well I opened their link and poked around their site. Not much there... not much at all... just dates and times where they'll be around England and Ireland training facilitators to evaluate and manage local people. No link to Common Purpose but it's hard to imagine they're not affiliates of this. John?

Been thinking a lot about new articles I'd like to write, and one about neighborhood groups and councils keeps popping up in my brain. Everything at the ACL that deals with these local yokel groups was written in 2000 when I was a pilot test subject under their communiy policing programme. My perspective has changed a wee bit since then and I'm no longer begging them for explanations and definitions of their terms. I know what neighbourhood renewal is today. I know what strategy development is too.

I'm thinking it might be a big ol' hoot to call myself the Kenny Lake Chitina Development Association. I have been working in neighborhood economic revitalization since I got here four and a half years ago and made the deal to build Tim and Lorayne's website in exchange for a campsite with electric at Camp Redington (called R's RV Park then). I fulfilled the plans for a community website which was part of Copper River Development Association's master plan for my community. I've made local fun maps and promoted local businesses online via all my gertee projects and somewhat through the ACL. I can claim to have the best interests of the community at heart, because my record here shows I do. I am just another unelected, self proclaimed development "expert" in what my community "needs." uh huh.

And I didn't give BJ (owner of Pippen Lake Gifts) any trouble when she showed up last Sunday to do the 2010 Census like we were old best friends (we've never met). She accidentally dropped some computer labled readouts of our personally identifiable information. I helped her pick them up and saw names alonside a bar code and a bunch of other codes that I'd be interested in knowing what they were. When I asked where was my address in this new census "short version", she assured me the feds didn't need my actual address since she was making a small dot on the GIS map she was carrying that identified my exact geographical location. I agreed to answer the questions if she placed my dot in an unpopulated, inaccessible roadless area of the map. Oh no worries she said, the ONLY purpose of all that personally identifiable information was to make sure Alaska gets another US Congressman! When I told her I am a political researcher, she said she knew that. hmm. Wonder what else BJ "knows" about me.

As I plod through my chores and spring cleaning my mind drifts to articles I wish I had time to work on. I really want to write something about the Madonna-whore dialectic and the influence it's had on my entire life. I think less about research and validating my position anymore, and more about how many ways the communitarian dialectic has affected my life and the lives of everyone I've ever met. I've also started singing, stretching, dancing and walking, my way of respecting the needs of my aging body. The harsh environment has made me leaner and much, much stronger but if I don't make time to stretch and relax too I will become all hunched over and crippled. Etzioni made me hate the word "balance" because of the way he uses it to destroy freedom, but I have to get over that now. I need balance between my hard core writing and my hard core lifestyle, the need is real and it's always been real. Etzioni didn't coin the term and he doesn't own it, just as the many other words he co-opted for communitarianism and changed the meanings of. He used the word "spirit" in his book title The Spirit of Community and I've avoided using that term too. Most everyone knows how I see/use the word "community".. heh.

The gertee book is coming along, especially now that I can barely get online! heh. We've worked out the PVC yurt design and Tim went to town and bought enough pipe to make 2, 16 footers! He's thinking the PVC gertee may actually be stronger than the wood. I designed it to all fit in a max 4' long box for shipping and easy carrying, but I may need to modify the lengths because the pipe all comes in 10 foot pieces. Adding the specs to the tutorial after we build it and test it in the spring winds. Thinking of ways to cover interior plastic and how to hold the materials up. I want to make one of them my greenhouse this summer and the other into a cute little guest house. Tim thinks I should sell them. :)

Are Game Theory & climate change communitarian ideologies?

I haven't kept up with this story because I'm sure readers who are interested in it are finding lots of good articles all over the internet. I try not to go too deeply into topics I have no basic understanding of, and there are too many ones in which I am at a 101 level. Here's the lead that made me open the link:

The United Nations is to conduct an investigation into emails leaked from a leading British climate science centre which appeared to show some of the world's leading scientists discussing ways to shield data from public scrutiny and suppress others' work.
And then here's what it revealed at the end:
Republicans in the House of Representatives in the United States grilled government scientists about the leaked emails during a hearing on Wednesday in Washington, but the scientists countered that the emails did not change the fact that the they believe the earth is warming.

"The emails do nothing to undermine the very strong scientific consensus ... that tells us the earth is warming, that warming is largely a result of human activity," said Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

She said the emails do not address data from her agency or Nasa, the US space agency, which both keep independent climate records that show dramatic global warming. http://english.aljazeera.net/news/europe/2009/12/2009124121257874111.html

I can still remember when I first heard that term "consensus" in reference to a US government policy I was opposed to, and how after looking it up how outraged I was to hear my government use that term to describe how they pass new laws. By the time I started my research this way of agreeing was already firmly entrenched in the entire process, from neighborhood visionings to community mapping. It still irritates me to see it used as if I have to kowtow to people who use it. It's like the words "Go Green" and how irritating that is to so many of us already.

I got a RL lesson in Game Theory today and it was fascinating. I guess I basically did understand it all along but not the scientific terms used to describe it. It's a way of pulling in tiny bits of data and testing the probablility of your theory with the additional data... hopefully unnoticeable to the untrained eye, and using the new results to either make your theory have a higher probability of success projection, or tempering it with something less adequate but also less noticeable. It's the SARA model used by the Community Police in Seattle during the 80s and 90s. It's also Crime Mapping, COMPASS and Potential for Crime analysis. Every program that was tested in Seattle when I lived there was Game Theory. What a revealing piece for me.

Every move I made in Seattle potentially went into the database. I never got to review it so I never knew what was in it beyond what I was first told. I've had a pilot test file since it was started by Community Police Officer Michale Crooks during her assignment to the NATS R&B Committee. The data was turned over to COMPASS in June 2000 by Veronica Jackson, Dept of Neighborhoods NATS Director. (Her boss at the time was Jim Diers, a neighborhood activist who plays a role in the Obama rise. Several of the Seattle "Gamers" are in Obama's administration now.) The NATS' data was used to show DOJ how well Seattle performed in datagathering. The COPS official who designed the database and was chosen Seattle's new Police Chief after the WTO "fiasco", is now Obama's Drug Czar. Gil Kerlikowske is a key to understanding the forces already in place that will be used to determine American's futures. Communitarianism is NOT just a theory, many programs have been tested and expanded that are entirely communitarian in makeup. Community Policing is a GLOBAL branch of the UN police that reaches into every neighborhood in the world. It's the quiet way of rebuilding a safe and sustainable world, and the US military trains locals to set up these programs in occupied territories as well as civilan territory. The communitarians see no difference between a war zone and a civilian zone, the entire world is a war zone as far as they're concerned. Anyone who thinks they live beyond the reach of the global police is kidding themselves.

My mom called me yesterday and explained why she has to believe in Obama, she needs to have hope. She wants to believe the world will be good for her grandchildren. What could I say? Well I did at first say "you believe people who lie every time their lips move?" but then I let it go. I had to. I can't be the one telling my 75 year old mother that Obama is Etzioni's puppy. In fact, after this week of being under attack from people I trusted, I don't know if I want to continue to tell anybody anything. But my neighbor said I'm too social and he can't see me giving this up. :)

Every now and then I wonder what's in my R&B file after all these years... whether it's been purged as irrelevant or passed on to other agencies to determine my future potential as an asset or to flag and identify me as a potential problem. Last time I flew I wasn't flagged. I was told I don't show up in the Pentagon's database of potential troublemakers, which was a relief until I learned Etzioni is not in their database either, and he's a self admitted former terrorist who holds dual citizenship. In theose first few months of coming face to face with Local Agenda 21 planning, I wrote hundreds of letters, long rants and angry laments over their trampling over our rights as if they didn't exist at all anymore. It might be pretty funny to go back and read some of them again and just see if I can find out what information they kept, if any. I have unfinished business with the City of Seattle, and I was hoping to finish up a few things when I go outside next spring.

More on Dr. Ron Paul for President

"Economic issues were what first motivated me to run for Congress back in 1976." Dr. Ron Paul http://www.ronpaulreasons.com/economy/

Why does Dr. Paul speak so openly about the IRS, WTO, NAFTA, and CAFTA, and yet remain so silent about the UN Local Agenda 21 programme for economic and sustainable development?

It just doesn't make any sense how he could know so much about financial scams that rob us of our economic freedom and still be ignorant of the fully published, legally adopted "Re-building America" plans that implement the UN LA-21 scam across the USA (and the entire world).

Some will say he doesn't want to sound like a wacko... but the NAU has been dismissed as a "conspiracy" by President Bush. The NAU has already been designated a conspiracy topic relegated to the Alex Jones crowd, and Ron Paul has no trouble discussing it, does he? In most of the active online anti-NAU groups, there is a suspicious silence about the much larger, global documents that already control all the land, people, and resources in the former United States.

The 1992 Earth Summit and the adoption of UN Local Agenda 21 by all member states is the key to understanding why Americans live under a NEW standard of law. We've already changed into a global communitarian state that protects the community over the individual. Dr. Paul addresses none of this, not even in his writings on independence and sovereignty:

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/?tag=American%20Independence%20And%20Sovereignty

Devvy's latest article at newswithviews gives me some insight into the primary obstacles to getting Ron Paul elected. It's a great article, but it doesn't answer any of my questions:

RON PAUL: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE

http://www.newswithviews.com/Devvy/kidd333.htm

When I have time I'm going to check Paul's voting records on the critical legislation that helped local officials bring Local Agenda 21 Plans into our neighborhoods in 1999, namely the Violent Crime Act of 1994 (which established funds for 100,000 community COPS and Problem Solving Partnerships) and the Domestic Violence Act of 1995 (which established "reporting" principles for emergency workers who witnessed life-threatening things while inside private homes).

LA-21 was introduced by state legislatures as "Smart Growth," and it's been 100% successful. Maybe one of you would do this for me... I'm really curious to know if these programs were even adopted while he was a member of Congress (I remember he retired for a few years).

It's not that I don't want to support Ron Paul for President in 2008, nor that I don't appreciate his efforts to highlight some key covert communitarian actions over the last century, but if I am to support him, I have to answer these questions, many which should already be answered. Can anyone find Paul speaking on UN Local Agenda 21 Programme or on Comunity Oriented Policing Services (COPS, closely affiliated with HUD's Weed&Seed)? This would help me a lot.

Reforming individuals into collectivists

"As a change agent— you learn new ways to transform large systems." Jim Rough, Dynamic Facilitation Skills Seminar

Before the US, Canada and Mexico can be successfully merged into one big happy North American Union, all former national citizens have to change their minds about what personal liberty and freedom means. The North American Community is a part of a global communitarian government system. Under the emerging system, individual liberty is simply not sustainable.

Now of course elected officials are denying there is any plan to integrate nations into regional trading blocks. Indeed, our very own President Bush calls what people speculate that goes on in their closed NAU meetings an amusing conspiracy:

Why do they have to lie about the plan to individuals living in countries where individual rights are the RULE of LAW? The Community comes first in a communitarian system. Regional trade union members are required to put the "needs" of the community BEFORE the LEGAL RIGHTS of the individuals living in the community. The U.S. Bill of Rights, for example, is an identified barrier to achieving the ultimate communitarian vision.

Now, it doesn't appear that the Mexicans have a problem with helping to incorporate the global vision, as their government has never been one that routinely swears to "protect and defend" their people's Constitution. But in the US and Canada, where the citizens aren't migrating in droves to escape poverty, unemployment and systematic corruption, the citizens see things a little bit differently than an illegal immigrant escaping north.

So, Americans and Canadians must be taught to think and feel differently about any leftover laws that protect their individuals. Some laws remain on the books. Too many citizens expect them to stand firm against covert changes. That's where trained change agents take over.

Change agents/facilitators teach people how to control and manipulate small groups. The goal is to find and reward weak minded, greedy individuals who will go along with the global change agenda, and to minimize the participation of strong minded individuals who refuse to change.

Marxists.org explains the meaning of the word "agent" when it's associated with "change:"

" In the 1960s, Louis Althusser gave a different slant to the meaning of “agency.” For Althusser, human beings were “agents” of change in just the same way that they are carriers of a disease, i.e., he negated the subjective aspect of agency, leaving change purely as a result of structure, with no place for indivudals." http://www.marxists.org/glossary/terms/a/g.htm

It's important to note that for change agents, participating weak minded individuals don't necessarily need to know community law overrules all national, state and local laws that protect individuals. The less the participants know about UN Local Agenda 21 agreements or the principles for sustainable development the less trouble they're apt to cause. All they need to know is that the types of people who cling to "outdated" national constitutions are backwards, immoral, and pose a clear threat to the health and safety of the community.

For those unfamiliar with the term "change agent," here's a good introduction by Will Banyan:
http://www.martinfrost.ws/htmlfiles/third_section/mitrany_fabianism07.html

Training for friendly facilitators of Marxist change is offered by universities worldwide: "Australian universities are currently being "enterprised" by a powerful logic of managed performance, executive centralisation and a new code of corporate governance (Marginson & Considine, 2000). These changes appear as part of a systematic restructure taking place in a number of advanced systems, yet the Australian version is recognised as especially vigorous (Slaughter and Leslie, 1997; Clark, 1998; Meek and Wood, 1997). " Posted by the Australian Fabians: http://www.fabian.org.au/944.asp

The REAL battles for the heart and soul of our people are taking place right down the street. Anyone who wants to "stop" the North American Union could make a huge impact by attending local meetings designed to "facilitate change." These little meetings and councils are where the root Fabian changes are being taught to us, our children, and our government bureaucrats. 50, 000 people can take to the streets to march in "protest" against the WTO, the NAU or the SPP, and all they'll ever achieve are Marxist goals for change (chaos, conflict, violence, etc.) But if 50 individuals who know the real score show up at a local visioning or council, they can stop the local integration meeting dead in its tracks.

How?

Well, first of all, the local turnouts are usually very low at the planning meetings, so it's a distinct advantage if free thinking individuals outnumber the communitarians. 5 to 1 may even be sufficient. (In Seattle in 1999, only 35 people endorsed the final Roosevelt Neighborhood Plan; the rest of my 5000 neighbors didn't have the first clue anyone was writing their "vision for the future." My continued presence and requests for their planning documents caused the City to stop some of the restrictive actions against property owners.. imagine if there'd been 10 of me.)

Secondly, just because the leading facilitators are highly trained and skilled manipulators, they suggest numerous innovative system changes that cleverly violates constitutional law. If only one person in your group can read the plan and the agenda beforehand, they can explain the highlights of the meeting's goals to the rest. If you have ONE person in your group who knows how to make a motion to change the meeting's agenda, and you have ONE person who seconds the motion, then you can all force an immediate vote to change the meeting's agenda. (I saw this happen live in Seattle at a Revised Noise Council meeting. Rick and Susan Hangartner, who learned about the plans in Portland during the transformations there, were fully prepared to alter the facilitated agenda, and did it with the support of the Seattle Musicans' Union.)

Jim Rough of Dynamic Facilitation Skills Seminar ... since 1990: http://www.tobe.net/topics/Seminar.html

Jim Rough gives a nice overview of the meetings I experienced firsthand in Seattle in 1999. The leaders always have a bunch of large paper at the front of the room where they nod and smile and write down all the local's "comments." SPD COPS Officer Hope Baur admitted in the above Noise meeting that Seattle police had been told NOT to enforce the existing Noise Law for five years prior. Then, gee, when the nice facilitators arrived in Seattle neighborhood meetings and asked the locals to identify their biggest "problems," guess what most people complained about.

Once we understand these meetings are pre-planned years in advance, then we have the option of asking to see a LOT of planning documents produced by government agencies, stakeholders, participating private businesses, world-class trainers and all other affiliated global change organizations. Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in the US, our citizens can request to review and copy ANY government program using FEDERAL FUNDING. Many of these Rebuilding Community programs (#2 goal in the War on Terror) come under Homeland Security now, so they'll be hard pressed to claim local status anymore. Many states also have a state public documents act... this can be used when State of City public officials try to avoid your request by claiming they do not come under the 1974 FOIA.

So far I haven't met ONE person who lives in Anchorage, AK who's read Anchorage 2020. This is where the REAL CHANGES to the entire U.S. constitutional system are written down. Since 2005, I've asked thousands of Alaskans if they've seen or read anything about Anchorage 2020, and all I get back from them are blank stares. Here's how phony communitarians are: according to the Municipality,

"the citizen involvement process that led to adoption of the Anchorage 2020 plan received the 2001 Public Education Award from the American Planning Association."

Arthur Hu in Washington State calls Educational Reform "Educational Deform:"
http://www.arthurhu.com/INDEX/tqm.htm

The Canadian Encylopedia gives a nice overview of the meaning of Social Class and the synthesis that "may eventually emerge": http://www.canadianencyclopedia.ca/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=A1ARTA0007517

Many thanks to Paul Barnes at truthforum.ca for bringing me back to this topic. And, thanks to Jim Rough for accusing Paul of not knowing enough about change agents to "trash" them. His post on truthforum.ca blog led me to do further investigation into his company activities, and in the process of studying his "new" Wisdom Councils in Pt. Townsend, WA, I not only got back on a very important aspect of ACL studies, but I also located my friend Betsy H. She's teaching math and english in a Pt. Townsend Middle School.

For Christian readers, here's a nice "expose" of planned changes by Tony Campolo in Australia. http://www.despatch.cth.com.au/Books_D/CAMPOL_I.HTM
