Global warming rejected by 31, 478 American scientists, WHO says Swine Flu a Global Pandemic

Yesterday we got hit with a nice big hail storm that didn't damage my garden because I threw tarps over it just as the pelts began to fall. Big booms of thunder and lightening made for a lively day. I set up the khana around the new floor and when we tried to put up the roofbeams last night I learned my roof poles are NOT long enough for an 18 foot gertee. Argh! So today I'm moving the walls in a foot.

Communitarian governance is basically rule by permit only. Americans already comply with thousands of communitarian regulations that require us to apply, pay a fee, and grant access to our private information. We are told to comply with specific rules to insure community quality of life, all of which may or may not be based in valid concerns for the environment or the "community." The goal of ALL communitarian global "concerns" is the moral authority to regulate every aspect of human existance. The new social order places academics in positions of nobility and average people across the globe are told they're too uneducated and backwards to comprehend the "need" for more communitarian authority.

We are told to listen to our Big Mother who knows what's best for us, yet others tell us Big Mother is nothing but a big fat liar: Swine Flu Vaccination Poses Serious Threat to Your Health.

In our Big Mother's Double Tongued Dictionary we define a scientist as "god." Just as laymen are not allowed to question the authority of church leaders who claim to have a mandate from god himself, lowly uneducated locals (such as ourselves) are not allowed to question or RESIST the self-annointed authority of global communitarian scientists. While I appreciate the sincere efforts of all the Ph.D.s who signed the following petition I still reject the idea that an education in a communitarian university is more relevant to the debate than listening to our elders, to the old local grandmothers, farmers, craftsmen and fishermen who carry the knowledge of their ancestors in everything they do. And for the record, I mean ALL people's ancestors and not just the natives', especially since many American tribal elders have embraced the whole vague notion of communitarian superiority and the need for more regulation and control.

Madam Speaker, before voting on the "cap-and-trade'' legislation, my colleagues should consider the views expressed in the following petition that has been signed by 31,478 American scientists:

"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.''

Circulated through the mail by a distinguished group of American physical scientists and supported by a definitive review of the peer-reviewed scientific literature, this may be the strongest and most widely supported statement on this subject that has been made by the scientific community. A state-by-state listing of the signers, which include 9,029 men and women with PhD degrees, a listing of their academic specialties, and a peer-reviewed summary of the science on this subject are available at http://www.petitionproject.org/.

The peer-reviewed summary, "Environmental Effects of Increased Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide'' by A. B. Robinson, N. E. Robinson, and W. Soon includes 132 references to the scientific literature and was circulated with the petition.

Signers of this petition include 3,803 with specific training in atmospheric, earth, and environmental sciences. All 31,478 of the signers have the necessary training in physics, chemistry, and mathematics to understand and evaluate the scientific data relevant to the human-caused global warming hypothesis and to the effects of human activities upon environmental quality.

In a letter circulated with this petition, Frederick Seitz -- past President of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, President Emeritus of Rockefeller University, and recipient of honorary doctorate degrees from 32 universities throughout the world -- wrote:

"The United States is very close to adopting an international agreement that would ration the use of energy and of technologies that depend upon coal, oil, and natural gas and some other organic compounds.

"This treaty is, in our opinion, based upon flawed ideas. Research data on climate change do not show that human use of hydrocarbons is harmful. To the contrary, there is good evidence that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is environmentally helpful.

"The proposed agreement we have very negative effects upon the technology of nations throughout the world; especially those that are currently attempting to lift from poverty and provide opportunities to the over 4 billion people in technologically underdeveloped countries.

"It is especially important for America to hear from its citizens who have the training necessary to evaluate the relevant data and offer sound advice.

"We urge you to sign and return the enclosed petition card. If you would like more cards for use by your colleagues, these will be sent."

Madam Speaker, at a time when our nation is faced with a severe shortage of domestically produced energy and a serious economic contraction; we should be reducing the taxation and regulation that plagues our energy-producing industries.

Yet, we will soon be considering so-called "cap and trade'' legislation that would increase the taxation and regulation of our energy industries. "Cap-and-trade'' will do at least as much, if not more, damage to the economy as the treaty referred by Professor Seitz! This legislation is being supported by the claims of "global warming'' and "climate change'' advocates -- claims that, as demonstrated by the 31,478 signatures to Professor Seitz' petition, many American scientists believe is disproved by extensive experimental and observational work.

It is time that we look beyond those few who seek increased taxation and increased regulation and control of the American people. Our energy policies must be based upon scientific truth -- not fictional movies or self-interested international agendas. They should be based upon the accomplishments of technological free enterprise that have provided our modern civilization, including our energy industries. That free enterprise must not be hindered by bogus claims about imaginary disasters.

Above all, we must never forget our contract with the American people -- the Constitution that provides the sole source of legitimacy of our government. That Constitution requires that we preserve the basic human rights of our people -- including the right to freely manufacture, use, and sell energy produced by any means they devise -- including nuclear, hydrocarbon, solar, wind, or even bicycle generators.

While it is evident that the human right to produce and use energy does not extend to activities that actually endanger the climate of the Earth upon which we all depend, bogus claims about climate dangers should not be used as a justification to further limit the American people's freedom.

In conclusion, I once again urge my colleagues to carefully consider the arguments made by the 31,478 American scientists who have signed this petition before voting on any legislation imposing new regulations or taxes on the American people in the name of halting climate change.

Some Real Climate Scientist/Skeptics Speak Out: by Eric Karlstrom

I thought this was a nice list of quotes that came in on Peter Myer's elist, Global Warming or Global Governance? Quotes and References compiled by Eric Karlstrom, a Professor of Geography at California State University. Also a musician, and a 9/11 Dissident. His website is http://erickarlstrom.com/. So I posted it here and then I went to Karlstrom's site and loaded one of his articles from 1993, "Stewardship of the Land: Man's Proper Role in Nature" From Desert Call, vol. 28, no. 4, p. 4-9. 1993. After reading it I decided Professor Karlstrom may have had a complete reversal in his way of thinking, and he may just be confused about what else the global government promotes, but so far it looks like he is a preacher for the UN's Gaia religion.

Saturday update--I missed this, should have printed the entire forward. I edited it because many of his quotes I already printed here last week. Here's what he wrote to Peter, "Yes, the Green movement has been co-opted by radical communist types it seems. I've awakened to this in the last year- particularly with the issue of man-made global warming, which I think is nonsense. And this is the stuff (physical geography, climate change, etc.) that I have studied academically for all my career." I wonder if he still believes the Natives, Amish and Benedictine Monks have the model cultures for a sustainable world, and if he still thinks UN LA21 and EarthFirst! is a great idea. I think I may respond to Peter about this. I rarely write anything for his list, but this coincides with my local research right now. Karlstrom should know damn well his "spiritual" movement wasn't "co-opted by radical communist types," it was created by radical theologians. Spiritual environmentalism is communitarianism.

Every time I ask a local if they think the Ahtna tribe shows good leadership in their role model for teaching us responsible stewardship of the land, the answer is always unprintable. The Ahtna tribe has been locking down access to local rivers and charging high fees for crossing, fishing, hunting, trapping or camping on their "protected" lands. We're surrounded by millions of acres of beetle kill spruce that a sensible populace would clean and burn. In fact that's my "theory" of how the Gaia loving environmentalists will eventually clear out this area. Why go door-to-door engaging in lethal combat with die hard constitutional abiding Alaskans when one big fire would eliminate that threat altogether. The Australian fires burn fresh in my memory.

And I didn't know Lovelock's Gaia theory calls chainsaws, cattle and combustion the 3 most harmful pathogens! I LOVE my chainsaw... Lovelock should have to spend a winter in a Gertee in Alaska with just an axe... wonder what kind of a God he'd create after that experience, all hail the Chainsaw Goddess?

I have studied their climate models and know what they can do. The models solve the equations of fluid dynamics and do a very good job of describing the fluid motions of the atmosphere and the oceans. They do a very poor job of describing the clouds, the dust, the chemistry, and biology of fields, farms and forests. They do not begin to describe the real world that we live in. They are full of fudge factors that are fitted to the existing climate, so the models more or less agree with the observed data. But there is no reason to believe that the same fudge factors would give the right behavior in a world with different chemistry, for example, in a world with increased CO2 in the atmosphere.

Here, I am opposing the holy brotherhood of climate model experts and the crowd of deluded citizens that believe the numbers predicted by their models. The problems are being grossly exaggerated. Atmospheric physics is quite clear that increasing CO2 concentrations increases temperature. The best way to demonstrate this is to model the temperature of the atmosphere with all CO2 removed. It is very cold. Then, increase CO2 by small increments and plot the graph of temperature increase. It is very rapid initially and then flattens out. Doubling CO2 from today’s concentration, holding all other parameters constant, has a “negligible” effect.

Is the financial crisis leading to a Global Marshall Plan?

Chris Bieber just sent out an email about President Bush's new idea how to spend some of the $700 billion bailout.

"The administration plans to spend $250 billion of the $700 billion government rescue program passed by Congress on Oct. 3 to make stock purchases this year. The first purchases will be in nine large banks, officials said. The industry and government officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the details were yet to be formally released.

As the plan sped through Congress, the administration said the money was needed to purchase bad mortgage-related assets that are weighing on the books of financial institutions, never mentioning direct stock purchases.

Looked through the long list of supporters and organizations supporting the Global Marshall Plan and almost all of them are German. I guess that's because the Germans are the experts on how the Marshall Plan was implemented. Every now and then I hear from someone who's been to Germany lately, and they tell me their society has been completely communitarianized, far beyond what can be noticed in the US. I'm guessing Germany was a pilot test of many of the new behavior modifications. We all have to be taught to become responsible, eco aware, global citizens, and we must be properly trained how to CHANGE our outdated notions of national and individual sovereignty and to respect and OBEY the new global laws that protect the whole planet.

UN Local Agenda 21-- the globalist's "New Deal"

It's 30 below zero outside at noon today, and it was 28 above inside GerTee when I awoke. This cold snap is wearing us out, and some mornings are just harder than others. Luckily we have a steady supply of firewood, we work from home and we're only a few months away from spring.

Gisela from NONAIS has been dilligently researching UN Agenda 21 and sharing some of it with me. While searching for its connection to the National Premise and Animal ID, she came upon several documents which I overlooked during my research. (This isn't all that hard to do because of the tens of thousands of pages written about it in just the past 15 years.) I know AmerikanExpose, Sweet Liberty, Darren Weeks, Nancy Levant, Joan Veon, Michael Shaw, Tom DeWeese, Henry Lamb, Dr. Michael Coffman and many others have articles and links to these bills, and knowing that they were studying it made me kind of lazy about it.

Gisela also asks why members of the Washington State Legislature think it's necessary to present a bill called "Preventing the implantation of identification or tracking devices on persons without their consent."

I did not know the U.S. House of Representatives voted to adopt UN Local Agenda 21 (I posted this in an earlier blog). I knew the U.S. adopted LA-21 at the local, community levels, but I thought it was done without congressional authorization. But "Over 160 countries are now Parties to the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (the Convention) which was ratified by the United States in 1992. " ( Survey of International Agreements.)

I admit I thought I could avoid the documents dealing with climate change and figured I'd leave it to other serious researchers who have a background in science. But this is how our government was able to introduce LA-21 goals into the U.S., so I need to revisit the entire topic. I'm trying to find the time to write Part II of my Hegel articles... but this is really distracting me. Even people like me who never watch TV and avoid newspapers and radio constantly hear about the impending disasters if we don't all takes measures to avoid catastrophic "Global Warming"

The 100th Congress enacted the Global Climate Protection Act as Title XI of H.R.
1777 of P.L. 100-204, assigning Department of State and the Environmental Protection Agency the responsibility to develop a coordinated national policy on global climate protection and containing other measures for coordination, research, and international cooperation.

In the lOlst Congress, interest widened among Members and committees of relevant jurisdiction that sought to acquire information from all sides of the scientific debate over possible global climate warming, to evaluate the potential economic and strategic impacts on the United States of a warmer climate, and to assess the adequacy of the Federal organizational base for conducting scientific research and policy studies. Seventy-three bills, resolutions, concurrent resolutions, and amendments dealing with global climate and atmospheric change were introduced in the lOlst Congress.' There were major enactments that dealt with global warming issues in legislation on: foreign aid decisions and U.S. foreign lending policies (P.L. 101-167, P.L. 101-240, P.L. 101-513); clean air (P.L. 101-549); Department of Defense environmental research and activities (P.L. 101-189, P.L. 101-510); water resources (P.L. 101-397); taxation (P.L. 101-239, P.L. 101-508); agriculture and forestry (P.L. 101-624); and Federal organization (P.L. 101-6061. 102nd Congress
Congressional interest and concern about climate and global change continued
during 102nd Congress. There was interest among the relevant congressional
committees in overseeing congressionally mandated efforts to improve coordination
among Federal agencies conducting scientific research in atmospheric change and policy research in impacts assessment and response strategies. Congress also closely followed the progress of U.N. negotiations for achieving a framework convention on global climate and sent a parliamentary delegation to the Earth Summit held in Rio de Janeiro, in June. The Senate consented to ratification of the Convention [Treaty Doc. 102-381; the instrument of ratification was signed by the President on Oct. 13, 1992. On the legislative agenda, there was a noticeable shift toward formulating
response strategies. A number of bills were considered with provisions that indirectly
affect the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases or that deal directly in a variety of approaches to reduce the rate of generation of greenhouse gases. Other legislation focused on developing accommodation and mitigation measures for climate change, to the extent that global warming occurs. Seventy-one measures relating to global climate change were introduced during the 102nd Congress. Some legislation introduced in the first session was revisited in the second with further hearings, mark- up sessions, or reintroduced as original bills or substituting amendments.

Eight major bills relating to global climate change were enacted in the 102nd Congress. In the first session, these include the Foreign Relations Authorization Act
for FY1992-1993 (P.L. 102-138), which expressed the sense of the Congress regarding negotiations of the U.N. International Negotiating Committee and a
framework convention on climate change; Departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development and Other Sundry Agencies Appropriations Act for FYI992 (P.L. 102-139), which included funding for EPA and NASA for greenhouse gas, global warming, and stratospheric ozone depletion research and NASA funding for the Consortium for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) to assess policy options to address global climate change; Foreign Operations, Export Financing and Related Programs Appropriations Act for FYI992 (P.L. 102-163), which set forth restrictions on U.S. foreign aid through a Global Warming Initiative; and the National Aeronautic and Space Administration Authorization Act for FYI992 (P.L. 102-1951, which enhanced global change research activities within NASA and improved data collection, archival, and dissemination of remotely sensed land data.

I agree that Robyn Williams is in tacit agreement with John Reid. And why wouldn't he be?. His opposition to the screening of the Great Global Warming Swindle is consistent with that agreement. For all environmentalist', and Al Gore's following of True Believers http://www.erichoffer.net, Global Warming is not a "swindle", so it is not surprising that they would oppose the exposure of evidence that it is.

Williams' Jewishness does not impose a contradiction in his agreement with John Reid, from the perspective in which the Zionist Movement is entirely compatible with environmentalism and the New Age Movement (indeed is part of it).
