CONGRESSIONAL LETTER URGES OBAMA TO RELEASE SPY JONATHAN POLLARD

Dr. Amitai Etzioni once explained his duel Israeli/US citizenship status as not a big deal and insists it's nothing anyone in the U.S. should be concerned about. He said his loyalty is clear. Because he is the "everything expert" his mystical, sage advice should never be questioned.

In the google book excerpt I used for Etzioni's name above, from The Communitarian Reader, he (along with Elanit Rothschild) advises we establish "appropriate principles and practices" regardng the conflicts of dual citizenship, and that there is a "principle that the nation of permanent residence takes priority." (I wasn't able to easily find that exact principle or where it's stated... maybe it's a Zionist or a Talmudic principle? Or hey, maybe it's in the Kaballah? )

Jonathan Jay Pollard, the former civilian Naval intelligence analyst who pleaded guilty to spying for Israel, was sentenced to life in prison in 1987. According to Ian Williams’ article in the July/Aug. 1993 Washington Report (see link below): “although Pollard insists he was motivated by concern for Israeli security, he was paid (and is still being paid) a handsome salary by the Israeli government. His Israeli handlers also provided gifts and trips to Europe for Pollard and his wife, Anne. The severity of Pollard’s sentence was based on secret testimony by [then-Defense Secretary] Caspar Weinberger, who is on record as saying that Pollard was lucky–he should have received three life sentences. Pollard provided Israeli intelligence with more than 1,000 classified U.S. documents, some consisting of hundreds of pages, comprising overall some 360 cubic feet of paper.

“According to American investigative reporter Seymour Hersh, Pollard sold information on nuclear targets in the Soviet Union to Israel. U.S. defense sources suggest that what caused the most bitter anger against Pollard in the Pentagon and throughout the American intelligence community was the fact that the information compromised human agents in the Soviet Union and elsewhere. U.S. intelligence sources have concluded that the Israeli government bartered this information to the Soviet Union.”

Until 1998 Israel publicly denied that Pollard was an Israeli spy–even though it granted him citizenship in 1995.

The most recent salvo in the relentless campaign to release Pollard is a letter circulated by Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and signed by more than 30 Democratic members of the (U.S) House of Representatives calling on President Barack Obama to grant clemency to the confessed spy. Please contact the members of Congress who signed the letter reprinted below to express your opinion on their advocacy for someone who has done incalculable damage to this country. Express your appreciation to members of Congress who did not sign, and urge them to resist pressure from their Israel-first colleagues. And write President Obama to register your disapproval of this letter, which was written in coordination with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, National Council of Young Israel, B’nai B””rith International, the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, the Zionist Organization of America, Agudath Israel, and former presidential candidate Gary Bauer, a Christian Zionist whose non-profit organization “American Values” seems to be more concerned with Israel than the United States.

Dear Mr. President,

We write to urge you to use your constitutional power to extend clemency to Jonathan Pollard, thereby releasing him from prison after the time he has already served. Mr. Pollard committed serious crimes and he has expressed remorse. Such an exercise of the clemency power would not in any way imply doubt about his guilt, nor cast any aspersions on the process by which he was convicted. Those who have such views are of course entitled to continue to have them, but the clemency grant has nothing to do with that.

We believe that there has been a great disparity from the standpoint of justice between the amount of time Mr. Pollard has served and the time that has been served — or not served at all — by many others who were found guilty of similar activity on behalf of nations that, like Israel, are not adversarial to us. It is indisputable in our view that the nearly twenty-five years that Mr. Pollard has served stands as a sufficient time from the standpoint of either punishment or deterrence.

In summary, we see clemency for Mr. Pollard as an act of compassion justified by the way others have been treated by our justice system. We urge you to use the clemency power in this case.

American Airlines Pilots Revolt Against the TSA

I do remember the report about the London pub patrons who were rounded up and given the choice between the x ray scans or strip searches in 2004. Of course now the whole story is missing from the internet, (Update: Josef found it here) but it was in a UPI news report and I referenced it somewhere on my ACL website when it happened, probably the Community Policing page. 2004 was when a majority of the ACL was posted online. Maybe one of our English readers remember it happening, but very few Americans noticed it then and I haven't seen any reports about it now that this same "option" is being offered to air travelers in the USA. How long before people will be subjected to this outrageous demand to demean themselves in OTHER places besides airports? My guess is not long.

And seeing this pilot revolt letter I'm sad to realize as a group they are not revolting on behalf of ALL Americans demeaned by this new policy, just for their own group. How typical of the way Americans think nowadays. Separate rights for separate groups is okay if you're in the group that gets to "keep" your God given rights. Nobody was ever supposed to be able to "take" our rights, not from anyone who abides by the legitimate laws.

Now it's "policy" we have to abide by ... not law. .. policy which changes at the whim of the policymaker. Policy that over rules our national law... boy that's some heavy duty policy... don't ya think? Is there any identifiable theoretical policy that would be powerful enough to over rule the U.S. Constitution and ALL 50 state constitutions? Or is this expectation that we submit to this policy based on nothing at all? Is it a conspiracy theory to suggest there is some harmonization of legal values that lies at the basis for our continually evolving security policy?

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced a series of initiatives to support state and local law enforcement and community groups across the country in identifying and mitigating threats to their communities and expanded DHS "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign to the Washington, D.C., area in conjunction with National Night Out, an annual anticrime campaign involving citizens, police and neighborhood groups. "Homeland security begins with hometown security, and our efforts to confront threats in our communities are most effective when they are led by local law enforcement and involve strong collaboration with the communities and citizens they serve," said Secretary Napolitano. {emphasis mine}

There's nothing local about community oriented policing. This is a global federal program that plans to use this new branch of federal police as "social resources." (http://nord.twu.net/acl/quietrevolution.html) Community based law enforcement officers enforce global communitarian laws (http://nord.twu.net/acl/commlaw.html).

Communitarian law balances the rights of the individuals in the community against the rights of the community at large. The community's needs are often referred to as the "common good." The common good mentality claims the community has the "right" to require individuals living in the community to give up a certain amount of privacy and independence because the community cannot protect itself unless it has complete files on everyone. New Communitarian Community responsibilities include mandatory community service as a community based laborer.

In a diverse with unity communitarian community, we're all identified as either assets or problems. Neighborhood groups are responsible for helping community police identify which people are assets, and which people are problems. Potential for either is also a consideration. (The COMPASS program is the basis for my book 2020: Our Common Destiny)

U.S. laws, like the 4th and 5th Amendments that directly forbid this community based legal ideology are considered "barriers" (SPD Chief Norm Stamper 1998) to the COPS program.

National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010

Gisela from Alaskans Against the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) sent this with a warning to be careful what I say. She knows I don't advocate against any group, race, or religion except the communitarians. (As far as I know Etzioni's not a homosexual, I never felt the need to take my research in that direction). So why would she warn me about this? Well, she knows this is just the first stage of the extensive and far reaching planned Hate Crime legislation, and that once it passes it opens US doors to enacting harsher enforcement and expanded meanings that include international communitarian definitions of "hate".

So okay, I've been warned by a very compassionate fellow Alaskan who has studied the new system as well as any Alaskan I've met (or more). But, no way. I will never stop calling Etzioni a liar and a scam artist. Until the day I die I will openly and frequently refer to communitarians as traitors and terrorists. I will sing it loudly, write it with all the passion I feel, and learn to sign it if they cut out my tongue. I was born endowed with my individual right to express myself freely, no man or act of man's law can ever take that away. And yes, the ADL henchmen will keep pushing to include the Jews. We all know what a wimp Etzioni is when it comes to debate. He needs this protection from solid American researchers like me. Etzioni's always crying about how mean people are to him. He always pulls the Holocaust survivor (which is a boldfaced lie) card to shut down any serious attempts to challenge his loopy ideology and Hegelian solutions.

I don't hate Etzioni because he's a Jew, that matters about as much to me as whether he's a fag or not. I hate Etzioni because he used my nation to destroy what little freeedom existed in the world. National Defense in my playbook actually means protecting the USA from Israeli Mossad agents working under cover in the White House as gurus, advisers, and "everything experts". The FBI and the Pentagon need to start sending me a regular paycheck since I'm still doing their job for them. (According to the Army analyst who visited us summer of 2008, Etzioni was not even in the Pentagon datatabase of foreigners known to be terrorists living in the US.)

In case you're wondering, both Senators from Alaska are committed communitarians. Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party have a shared communitarian consciousness.

Keeping up with the latest spins

It gets harder every day for me to put any attention toward recent "news" events. My inbox is continually refilled with alerts and forwards from people on the "right", the "left" and sometimes even the communitarian middle. The right is currently flipping out over the Fusionist Kansas DHS report, but most articles and "conservative alerts" have eliminated the most relevant terms and focus all their outrage on Napolitano's resignation and Obama's spokesman's comments; very little (to nothing) is being written about the Fusion program or the COPS who initated it.

The right v left "divide" continues to serve a valuable purpose for the emerging supranational world government. As long as they keep up their pretense of opposites they can skillfully redirect our attentions and guide us into useless actions. There are hundreds of other divides too; not one controversial topic is set up with a simple formula. Each side has as many sub-sides as the topic can handle, and the Zionist arena has more than anyone can handle. As I am committed to continuing my studies and we are enrolled in no formal anticommunitarian studies program, perspectives in comments from readers adds to my overall thoughts on these topics.

Amitai Etzioni is a duel Israeli-US citizen; he wrote that the Israeli government will not allow him to change his duel citizen status. I've tried to keep up with the duel citizenship controversy for this reason. From Peter Myer's elist:

A prominent Democratic Congresswoman was embroiled last night in a growing scandal involving government wiretaps and her relationship with two alleged Israeli spies.

Jane Harman, a California Democrat with long involvement in US intelligence matters, was allegedly recorded by a Bush administration wiretap promising an Israeli agent that she would intervene on behalf of two pro-Israel lobbyists charged in the US with spying.

In return for pledging to use her influence to get the charges against the two men reduced, Ms Harman, a pro-Israeli hawk, was allegedly told by the unidentified agent that he would put pressure on senior Democrats to get her appointed to a top Congressional intelligence post.

Allegations that Ms Harman had inappropriately used her influence to aid the two employees of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful Israeli lobby group, surfaced in 2006. What is new is the claim that she had been caught on a National Security Agency (NSA) wiretap discussing a “quid pro quo” deal on the case.

The alleged wiretap, reported by the political journal Congressional Quarterly, occurred because the NSA had been targeting telephone calls made by the Israeli agent during an investigation of AIPAC. In 2006 it was reported that Ms Harman was the subject of an FBI investigation over her involvement with the hawkish Israeli lobby group…

That’s about as far down an article as most readers get, so I’ll stop there…

Incredible news, unbelievable liars

Remember, this is from a News Ltd source. In the USA, other major media organizations with a strong Zionist bias have also run the story.

I’d say it’s froth and doubt it will lead anyhere, or that there’ll be any serious punishment of notorious Israel-firster Jane Harman. Indeed, I suspect she’ll end up publicly ‘vindicated’.

The real goal of this ‘exposé’ is probably to mislead people into believing there is aggressive monitoring of potential Israeli agents in Congress and elsewhere. It helps create the impression that the US intelligence agencies work hard to protect American interests - and that the US body politic is well defended from Israeli influence.

The NSA: has it really saved America from Zionist penetration?

I don’t buy it. The US Congress is stuffed with pro-Israel stooges. If the NSA was seriously monitoring for pro-Israel wheeling and dealing – and these stories were getting through to the public through via leaks like this – we’d have a dozen similar stories each day.

Beware the self-appointed Masters of Discourse! Even their ‘exposes’ and ‘revelations’ may be acts of deception.

That’s not to say, of course, that everyone in Washington is an Israeli stooge. There certainly are centres of opposition to the blatant betrayal of American interests to a foreign power. President Obama’s own personal position is far from clear.

But to imagine that this case is the most serious recent instance of the betrayal of American interests to Israel is to live in fantasyland, which is precisely where the western mass media likes to keep us.

Incidentally, Jane Harman is not only a rabid Zionist who promotes illegal wars against Israel’s perceived enemies. She’s seriously loopy too.

Harman recently claimed to the US House of Representatives Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet that “Islamic militants are suspected of using Second Life, the Internet virtual world, to hunt for recruits and mimic real life terrorism”.

Perhaps she’s fears a militant might swoop out of her flatscreen one day and steal her wig?

I for one would be keen to pull it off, as soon as the technology is sufficiently advanced - and if I ever encounter the war-mongering bitch in cyberspace, I’ll set my virtual dog on her. __

Daniel Schorr dismisses Harman case as 'something of a brouhaha'

Daniel Schorr is a commentator on NPR's Saturday morning radio show. He has esteem in the liberal community. Per his autobiography, his mother was devoted to the Zionist cause, and that familial bias shows through in his work. This morning, Scott Simon asked him about the Harman case and Schorr began by saying that Harman is a close friend of his, before getting the case wrong in a couple particulars. It didn't happen as Harman was trying to get the chairmanship of House Intelligence; it was fully a year earlier, as she was battling to keep her status as "ranking member" of the committee. It didn't involve an "investigation" of Israeli lobbyists, as Schorr said; the lobbyists had been indicted long before. Schorr concluded that the matter is "something of a brouhaha." Brouhaha, now being replaced by kerfuffle in journalistic lingo, means People getting into a tizzy about something silly.

This takes me back to Jewish identity. Harman is a liberal hawk, virtually a neocon on Middle East matters. She pushed the disastrous Iraq war. Schorr is a liberal, and I'm sure hawkish. What worldview do these two people share? How much does Israel figure in it? What is its religious basis? And how important is antisemitism to them? What political crimes does this worldview overlook? And what should young liberals make of these values?

P.S. Both Scott Simon and Chris Matthews have called the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, "the American Israel Political Action Committee." But AIPAC is not a PAC. It is a devoted lobbying group, but it doesn't collect money to give to candidates. It takes stands on issues, and its members can do as they please.

Temps dropped to 50 below F. here last night. Gertee is holding the heat though, and I'm adjusted to waking up as soon as my inside temp drops below freezing. This is the kind of weather where everything becomes super fragile. Plastic cracks and even metal can be easily snapped. This slows the pace of living down to a snail's crawl; as much as I want to race back inside everytime I go outside to get a bucket of wood, I have to be careful or I won't have a wood bucket anymore.

U.S. man pleads guilty to acting as agent for Israel

NEW YORK/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An 85-year-old former U.S. Army employee pleaded guilty on Tuesday to acting as an unregistered agent of Israel and admitted he gave classified documents to the Jewish state in the 1980s.

Court documents show the defendant, Ben-Ami Kadish, reported to the same handler as Jonathan Pollard, an American who spied for Israel in the 1980s and triggered a scandal that rocked U.S.-Israeli relations.

Kadish's plea indicates the Israeli spy network that obtained U.S. nuclear secrets through Pollard spread further than previously acknowledged.

It comes as the Bush administration considers a new request by Pollard for a commutation of his life sentence.

Prosecutors say Ben-Ami Kadish provided classified documents, including some relating to U.S. missile defense systems, to an Israeli agent, Yosef Yagur, who photographed the documents at Kadish's residence.

Yagur was one of Pollard's handlers, according to court documents.

From 1980 to 1985, Yagur asked Kadish to obtain classified documents, which Kadish retrieved from the U.S. Army's Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, New Jersey, according to Kadish's sworn statement.

Pollard, a former U.S. Navy intelligence analyst, is serving life in prison term after pleading guilty to spying for Israel in 1986. His case has led Jews in the United States and Israel to plea for clemency and a new request by Pollard is under Bush administration review.

Israel gave Pollard citizenship in 1996 and acknowledged he was one of its spies in 1998.

Though the United States and Israel are close allies, the Pollard case revealed how the thirst for intelligence trumped that friendship.

Kadish, a Connecticut-born U.S. citizen, faces a maximum of five years in prison at his February 13 sentencing in federal court in Manhattan but it is possible he will not serve any time.

Sentencing guidelines call for a maximum of six months and prosecutors said they would not oppose a sentence without jail time, according to his plea agreement.

He had been free on bail since shortly after his arrest in April on four counts of conspiracy and espionage as a result of an investigation that began in 2005.

The Israeli embassy had no immediate comment.

Kadish used his security clearance to borrow 50 to 100 classified documents from the arsenal's library, including some "concerning nuclear weaponry" and others relating to a modified version of an F-15 fighter jet that the United States had sold to an unidentified country, the complaint said.

A third pertained to the U.S. Patriot missile air defense system.

In order to grasp the latest devastating murderous Israeli expedition in Gaza one must deeply comprehend the Israeli identity and its inherent hatred towards anyone who fails to be Jewish and a hatred against Arabs in particular. This hatred is imbued in the Israeli curriculum, it is preached by political leaders and implied by their acts, it is conveyed by cultural figures, even within the so-called ‘Israeli Left’.

I grew up in Israel in the 1970’s people of my generation are nowadays the leaders of the Israeli army, politics, economy, academia and the arts. We were trained to believe that ‘a good Arab is a dead one’. A few weeks before I joined the IDF in the early 1980’s, General Rafael Eitan, the Chief of Staff at the time announced that the “Arabs were stoned cockroaches in a bottle”. He got away with it, he also got away with the murder of many thousands of Lebanese civilians in the 1st Lebanon war. In a word, Israelis manage to get away with murder.

Luckily enough, and for reasons that are still far beyond my comprehension, at a certain stage I woke up out of that Hebraic lethal dream. At one point I left the Jewish state, I evaded the Jewish hate mongering, I had become an opponent of the Jewish state and any other form of Jewish politics. However, I am utterly convinced that it is my primary duty to inform every being that is willing to listen about that which are we up against.

As much as Zionism was there to transform Jews, and by “giving them a State of their own” make them like any other people, it failed miserably. The Israeli barbarism as we have seen this week and too many times before is far beyond bestiality. It is killing for the sake of killing. And it is indiscriminate.

Not many people in the west are aware of the devastating fact that killing Arabs and Palestinians in particular is a very effective Israeli political recipe. The Israelis are indeed confused people. As much as they insist upon seeing themselves as a ‘Shalom seeking’[1] nation, they also love to be led by politicians with an astonishing record of unlawful murderous activity. Whether it was Sharon, Rabin, Begin, Shamir or Ben Gurion, Israelis love their ‘democratically elected leaders’ to be belligerent hawks with their hands dripping with blood and backed by a solid record of crimes against humanity.

We are weeks before an election in Israel and as it seems, both Kadima PM candidate Foreign minister Tzipi Livni and Labour PM candidate Defence minister Ehud Barak, are trailing well behind Likud PM candidate the notorious Hawk Benjamin (Bibi) Netanyahu. Livni and Barak need their little war. They must prove to the Israelis that they know how to engage in mass slaughter.

Both Livni and Barak have to provide the Israeli voter with some real exhibition of devastating carnage, so the Israelis can trust their leadership. This is their only chance against Netanyahu. Seemingly, Livni and Barak are throwing tons of bombs on Palestinian civilians, schools and hospitals because this is exactly what the Israelis want to see.

Unfortunately, Israelis are not known for mercy and grace. Instead they are appeased by retaliation and vengeance, they are cheered by their own limitless brutality. When an Ex-Israeli Air Force Chief Commander Dan Halutz was asked how it feels to drop a bomb on a highly populated neighbourhood in Gaza, his answer was short and precise. ‘It feels like a light bump on the right wing’. Dan Halutz’s cold deadly manner was enough to secure his promotion into the IDF Chief of Staff post shortly thereafter. It was General Halutz who led the Israeli army into the second Lebanon war, it was this man who perpetrated the destruction of Lebanese infrastructure and large parts of Beirut.

Seemingly, in Israeli politics, Arab blood is translated into votes. It would obviously be very reasonable to charge Livni, Barak and the current IDF Chief of Staff Ashkenazi with first-degree murder, crimes against humanity and the obvious breach of the Geneva Convention. But it would be far more intelligible to take into account that Israel is a ‘democracy’. Livni, Barak and Ashkenazi are giving the Israeli people that which they want: it is called Arab blood and it must come in vast quantity. This repetitive murderous practice, conducted by Israeli politicians reflects on the Israeli people as a whole rather than just a few politicians and generals. We are dealing here with a barbarian society that is politically driven by bloodthirstiness and lethal inclinations. There should be no mistake, there is no room for these people amongst nations.

Why the Israeli are people so remote from any notion of humanism is a big question. The generous and naïve humanists amongst us may argue that the Shoah left a big scar in the Israeli soul. This may explain why Israelis are obsessively cultivating that very memory with the support of their Diaspora brothers and sisters. The Israelis say ‘never again’ and what they mean is that Auschwitz should never reoccur, this somehow allows them to punish the Palestinian for the crimes committed by the Nazis. The realistic amongst us do not buy this argument anymore. They start now to admit that it is more than possible that the Israelis are so incredibly brutal just because this is how they are. It goes far beyond rationality or pseudo-analytical assumptions. They say, ‘this is what the Israelis are and there is not much we can do about it anymore’. The realistic amongst us come to admit that killing is how the Israelis interpret the meaning of being Jewish. Gravely, many of us come to admit that there is no alternative humanist secular Jewish value system to replace the Hebraic murderous one. The Jewish state is there to prove that Jewish national autonomy is an inhuman concept.

I grew up in post-1967 Israel. I was raised in the wake of the Israeli mythical victory, we were trained to worship the “Israeli who shoots from the hip” the platoon commando who shoots his Uzi automatic rifle in the direction of the Arabs and manages to win against four armies in just six days.

It may have taken me two decades too long to understand that the Israeli who ‘shoots from the hip’, was actually the master of indiscriminate killing. Barak was one of those 1967 heroes, he was a master indiscriminate killer. Apparently, the Israeli cabinet has just approved his plan for the biggest raid on Gaza since 1967. Livni is more or less my age, as we read the news, she internalised the message. She is now accumulating the necessary credentials as an indiscriminate murderer. Both Barak and Livni are taking Israel and Palestine into an election campaign of slaughter. Arab and Palestinian blood is the fuel of Israeli politics.

I may just suggest to Livni and Barak that it may not help them in the polls. Netanyahu is a genuine authentic hawk. He doesn’t have to pretend to be a murderer, and as much as I despise him, he has yet to take Israel into a war. He probably understands better than them what power of deterrence is all about.

[1] Do not confuse ‘shalom’ with ‘peace’ or ‘salam’. While peace and salam refer to reconciliation and compromise, shalom means security to the Jewish people on the expense of their surrounding environment.

In a free society where freedom of the press really exists, citizens are exposed to all relevant, well-presented opinions and analysis. The choice to read and vote intelligently rests upon the common people whose taxes pay for all foreign policies. Why does the US tolerate information gatekeepers?
