Who in the world wants UN Local Agenda 21?

The United Nations Local Agenda 21 Programme was adopted by all member nations in 1992. Most citizens in the United States were never told anything about it. To my knowledge, no nation in the entire world was allowed to vote on this sweeping plan to rebuild the world.

Over the past twenty years, the UN's communitarian system was implemented in every nation. In some nations it was an open process, because their systems were not established as governments of the people. In the nations where the citizens elect representatives and have veto power over laws passed by their elected representatives, Local Agenda 21 was hidden.

There are numerous first-hand accounts of citizens asking if LA21 was in their home area, and more than one US politician is on the record denying Local Agenda 21 was their local plan. Michael Shaw of Santa Cruz taped his local representative denying it. Seattle City Council members told me during face-to-face interviews there was no such thing in Seattle.

Today Seattle Council members openly advertise they embrace LA21 goals, visions and values. Today every government in the world promotes LA21 sustainable development principles.

For 100 years the very idea of a global government was relegated to conspiracy theory land. What life must have been like for the researchers and investigators who uncovered the plan in it's earliest stages. Some people have been studying and watching it come down since the 40s. Of course, few people took their findings seriously and the whole topic became nothing but a joke.

The emerging world governance system is not communist, although communists played a major role in setting things up. The new global system is called communitarianism. Unlike communism, communitarianism is a balance between individual and collective rights.

Under a communitarian system, individuals get their "rights" from the Community. The new Sustainable Community replaces God and any other higher authority in existence. All nations have to bow before the Community, be it the Global Community, the Regional Community or the actual neighborhood Community. Communitarian Community Law is supreme at every level.

This plan for controlling the global economy included an entirely new bureaucracy that replaces legitimate local governments. Every federal agency in the United States changed their mission statements to promote sustainable development, before anyone in the USA had heard the term. New agencies were established with names like Department of Neighborhoods, Community & Economic Development, Strategic Planning Office, Community Policing Services and Office of Sustainability. Strict new land use regulations were passed. Entire older neighborhoods were torn down and replaced with new sustainable "model" neighborhoods.

Now there are places in the U.S. where property owners cannot cut their own trees for firewood without getting permission first. Property owners can lose their property in all kinds of new ways if they do not adhere to the new regulations. New Smart Grids and Smart Meters (that cost mega bucks to install) are popping up all across broke America. Go Green has swept the world like a flu virus without anyone really questioning what exactly a "green economy" means. Smart businesses promote themselves as "green" because that's where the money is, not because they think they're saving the planet. Anyone deemed "unsustainable" is doomed.

In the U.S. businesses keep moving to escape LA21 inspired regulations that kill their profits. Jobs keep disappearing. Taxes are diverted into new black hole programs that line the pockets of the sustainable developers, while more and more Americans lose everything they have. Even the Obama Stimulus Package was designed to line the pockets of LA21 sustainable developers. Construction money was for modifying homes to be more "sustainable."

A "green economy" doesn't mean earth friendly living. It has zero to do with saving the environment or anything else, except to the grass roots activists who believe the big lie. Green stands for money, not grass. It means the only people who make money are the people who know the green grant game. The stakeholders who pass these plans at the local level aren't called stakeholders for no reason. They hold the stakes over Americas' heart.

In one year the planners will meet again in the same spot they met when they adopted the LA21 plan. Maybe this time, national citizens around the world will have the opportunity to vote on any Rio+20 resolution adopted by their government representatives. Maybe this time around LA21 will make the nightly news in America. Maybe we'll be told about the communitarian philosophy and law that supports LA21. And, maybe we won't be told anything at all.

On 14th - 16th May 2012, the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) or 'Rio+20' will take place in Rio de Janeiro. Also referred to as the Rio+20 Earth Summit, due to the initial conference held in Rio in 1992, the objectives of the Summit are: to secure renewed political commitment to sustainable development; to assess progress towards internationally agreed goals on sustainable development and to address new and emerging challenges. The Summit will also focus on two specific themes: a green economy in the context of poverty eradication and sustainable development, and an institutional framework for sustainable development. Several years ago we added this poll to the ACL website's Agenda 21 page. This may be the only global "vote" ever held over this issue in the entire world. The results show why that is.

In a recent letter to the Toledo Free Press, a pastor from Bowling Green, Ohio explained the dialectical synthesis between JFK and Ronald Reagan (and claimed JFK was a communitarian).

Is this the official view from church leadership? I've known for years how many churches accept grants that require them to be complicit in the agenda, but I think this is the first time I've seen a Protestant pastor openly tell Americans communitarianism is the solution. Doesn't Pastor McGlade know what spiritual communitarianism is? Does his flock?

Last night I was a guest on Rick Adams Radio Avenger RBN Radio show. I totally forgot to post it here. (It dropped back down to 40 below last night and that shifts my focus a bit.) Pete sent me mp3 files so I can make the show available.

Before I forget again, I'll be on the Jeff Rense radio show tonight at 8pm.

During the second hour last night, Rick took calls and I enjoyed it very much. Could be the fact that I'm alone most of the time lately, but every caller touched me and I felt very connected to each one of them. One of the callers introduced herself as Vicky and asked whether Communitarian Law is part of Maritime Law. As this is one of the most serious omissions in my legal research, and very few have ever noticed it, I knew immediately I was talking to another researcher. When it clicked with me that it was Vicky Davis, a woman whose work I've been studying lately... I was like, "Hey! I need to meet you!"

Here's an example of why of her work is so relevant. I chose this article because I have family in Idaho and many friends there too, some of whom may already be familiar with Vicky's work.

Recently, the Citizens for Smart Growth, a citizens group in Star, Idaho asked Idaho Eagle Forum for some help researching what could be done to stop Mayor Nathan Mitchell from turning Star and the surrounding area into a California style suburban bedroom community. Ada County with Mitchell’s support approved a planned community development of over 600 homes near Star with the option to build many more after that. Star does not have the roads or infrastructure to support the Avimor development and apparently there is no market for the homes anyway because many of the homes they’ve already built are being rented.

Star is a rural community. The residents like it that way and they want to keep it that way so the objective is to recall Mayor Mitchell and send him packing.

The parent company of the Avimor is SunCor, an Arizona corporation that has thousands of acres under development in Arizona, Utah, Idaho and New Mexico. They also have developments in California and Mexico.

What started out to be a minor research effort became a "Holy Smokes! What Do We Have Here Project!" It turns out that the United Nations Agenda 21 program is being implemented in Idaho. If you don’t know what Agenda 21 is, then you’d better find out in a hurry because it will affect every aspect of your life, your children’s lives and in fact the direction of this country. Here’s a hint: Think Al Gore and ‘Earth in the Balance’ and Mikhail Gorbachev, Maurice Strong and the Earth Charter. Think centrally planned and managed economy hiding behind environmental issues.

Agenda 21 is not simply about land use. The implementation plan calls for a complete societal ‘transformation’ to make preservation of the environment the single most important thing in a person’s life - a religion as both Maurice Strong and Mikhail Gorbachev have said.

So how did Star get caught up in this nasty business? To understand the present, one must understand history. This history begins in 1977 when Ada County surpassed the population density needed to be classified as a ‘transportation management area’. Once that density is reached, the federal government requires that a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) be established and the area is then eligible for federal grant money for planning and infrastructure. Ada County formed an MPO that they named the Community Planning Association. In 2003, Canyon County reached the population needed so they joined the Community Planning Association and it became the Community Planning Association of Southwestern Idaho (COMPASS).

Jumping ahead to 1983, the United Nations established a commission to produce a report on the environment and anticipated global environmental problems and to formulate strategies to deal with those anticipated problems to the year 2000 and beyond. In 1987, the commission’s report, the dubbed the Brundtland Report was published. From the Brundtland Report came Agenda 21:

"In 1992 leaders at the Earth Summit built upon the framework of Brundtland Report to create agreements and conventions on critical issues such as climate change, desertification and deforestation. They also drafted a broad action strategy—Agenda 21—as the workplan for environment and development issues for the coming decades." http://sdgateway.net/introsd/definitions.htm

In 1993, President Bill Clinton signed Executive Order 12852 which called for the establishment of a commission to oversee the implementation of Agenda 21 in the United States. This was never debated and Congress never voted on it. They just allowed it to become law by doing nothing.

The various federal departments of government have their own programs to implement Agenda 21 in their area of responsibility. Non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) with grant money are being used as the surrogates for federal government implementation. The NGO’s show up in your community masquerading as public interest organizations when in reality they have a very specific agenda towards ‘transforming’ the community. Idaho Smart Growth is one such NGO established for the purpose of implementing Agenda 21 in Idaho.

From this point on, the story is best told by following the timeline of the regionalization project of the Community Planning Association of Southwestern Idaho paying close attention to who did what - when. Before reading the timeline, it is helpful to know that the Communities In Motion Project is a five county regional plan. The 'Blueprint for Good Growth' is the Ada County plan of which Boise is the hub. In reality, it's all one plan with two phases that neuters elected local government and implements unelected regional governance by committee.

I finally made it up to the Merc in spite of another foot of snow, and found this flier on the counter. It's the first I've heard of it:

Looks like they're claiming the entire north Wrangell St. Elias Park (#4). I'm going to look into this a lot further. My neighbors have told me since my arrival in the Basin five years ago that the U.S. military has "secret" plans to develop their hidden compounds in the Wrangells. I was told by more than one local about all the military transports flying through Kenny Lake the year before I got here. When I lived back on the bluff, I often heard big airplanes and helicopters flying low above the Copper River. Word is it happens on the Tonsina River too.

Then... there's that bit I found 4 years ago about Fish & Game wanting a checkpoint at five mile Edgerton outside Chitina. Alaska State denied their request based on lack of available funds.

Tim said he hopes this comes here because when one of their planes crash he can go get parts off it, and "they pay good" for rescue operations! His family worked for the U.S. Army back in the fifties recovering their plane wreckage using dog teams to get back into the wilderness.

What I find fascinating at first glance is how perfectly these proposed military regions go with the maps I've been studying of 1979 Native Land Act/Ahtna lands and the all knowing and far seeing WISE one's Copper River Watershed Project and Copper River Country Mapping Project.

We're also located at the top of Y2Y, and, as most people know, HAARP is just up the road too. I'm reading Tesla by Margaret Cheney right now, learning a lot more than I thought I would. It's got me thinking about how much electricity makes my life more comfortable.

The U.S. military has a long and honorable history in Alaska. They have every right to use the roads they built and they have a sworn duty to protect the population from invaders. Do they have the right to play war games in people's backyards or become the invaders themselves? No. And this would not be the first time they made the mistake of destroying the landscape.

There are MANY in the U.S. government who view Alaska as a frozen wasteland.

In 1963 the Atomic Energy boys made plans to NUKE a harbor in Point Hope, Alaska. It was the AIM organized Native Inupiat population who, for the first time in history, aligned with the Athabaskan Indians, who together STOPPED the PEACEFUL NUKING OF ALASKA.

These are Ahtna lands the big joints want to play loaded paintball on... the same lands I can't even walk across... what do the tribal leaders have to say about it?

Elisra has announced the success of a joint US-Israeli exercise which was carried out recently in its Active Defense Battle Lab, jointly shared by the Israeli Air Force (IAF), the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) and the US Department of Defense (DOD).

The Active Defense Battle Lab is developed and maintained by Elisra's Tadiran Electronics Systems Division since its inception in the early 90's. An end-to-end simulator of Theater Missile Defense, the Lab simulates attacks against defended assets, and the operation of defense systems against those attacks.

The computerized exercise was wide in scope, including operational forces and combat fighters and simulated a ballistic missile attack on Israel and the use of Israeli and US Missile Defense Systems.

Isn't it altogether too convenient that this training issue is to be determined via the EIS process... stakeholders who may have concerns or input may post "comments" during a brief time when most people have no idea it's happening. Then the planners get to determine their own further actions based on what the EIS scoping period determined for them. If enough stakeholders come out in strong opposition, they claim they will abandon the plans. Has anyone ever seen this happen?

The bummer is the process for objections is pre-established and in their favor. In some ways all the scoping does is let the planners know who their local opposition is prior to moving into an area.

The central idea of this concept is to provide defense using integrated operational and tactical offensive and defensive measures to defeat external threats and aggression as far from the Homeland as possible. This will occur in three regions:
• Forward Regions – Forward Regions are foreign land areas, sovereign airspace, and sovereign waters outside the Homeland. This objective is achieved through air and space defense, land defense, maritime defense, and cyber defense. In addition, to achieve CS and EP objectives, DOD must also prepare for and be able to mitigate the effects of catastrophic emergencies and be prepared to support civilian agencies against internal threats or national emergencies if directed by the President.
Necessary Capabilities and Attributes
• Detect, prevent, (including through deterrence and preemptive attack) and defeat potential threats to the Homeland as they arise in the Forward Regions

His ties to the Third Way are direct; Bayh was the leader of the Third Way bipartisan group in the Senate. I used to have a page at the ACL called "Bayhwatch." Ok, we took a look.

They're Communitarians.
Another term for this is the Third Way.

The enlightened compromise. The civilized synthesis. The educated answer is consensus, they say. This is the heart of Communitarianism. Why? Communitarianism is the 'balancing of the individual's rights against those of the community.' In the US Constitution we are guaranteed rights that we were born with: life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. That last one, as you know, was to be 'property.' Property is not just land. YOU are your own property. That was an element of fundamental freedom.

So how can you 'balance' those rights with those of the community? The community has no rights under the US Constitution. Individuals have rights and responsibilities, but the community as a whole, what is that? The collective? Whenever you 'balance' or subsume, or subordinate, or consensus-ize the individuals' rights you'll get something different from what we are guaranteed under the Constitution.

Here's an example.
Let's take two glasses and set them on a table.
One glass is full of water. Let's call it a Republic.
The other glass is full of milk. Let's call it a Communitarian state.

Now we'll get a glass pitcher and set it on the table.

Let's balance the water with the milk by pouring them both into the pitcher.

What do you have?
It's not water anymore, is it?
It's milk. Watery milk. But milk. Not water.

The Third Way.

Communitarianism. Balancing your individual rights with the 'rights' of the community. This is being pitched to you as the new enlightened form of political discourse. You are 'selfish' if you insist on your individual rights and freedoms. This is the justification for Agenda 21-Sustainable Development. For the good of the planet. For everyone's security. For your health. To protect your children. To limit workplace violence. To stop bullying.

All of these things are laudable, but somehow they always result in more restrictive laws that affect everyone. They criminalize everyone. In our town, the Civil Code has been criminalized. What does that mean? If you don't mow your lawn it's a misdemeanor.

Will your child have a criminal record if he calls another kid a 'queer?' Will you be held responsible if your employee shoots someone and you knew he was upset over a breakup with his wife? Will your 15 year old daughter be strip-searched at the airport? Will you lose custody of your 10 year old because he is obese? Will you be evicted from your apartment because you smoked on your balcony in violation of a local ordinance? Will you be taxed for driving 15 miles to work instead of riding your bike? Will you be fined for watering your vegetable garden? Will your Smart Meter be used to tell advertisers what to sell you? Will your Smart vehicle with remote shut off capability be shut down by someone in your State capitol while you're driving? Will your neighbor report you to the Community Oriented Policing Unit of your local PD because you seemed to be acting strangely? Your rights have been balanced.

That was easy, wasn't it? No Labels. Why not? Maybe they don't have the guts to say what their label should be. Or maybe they figure you'll never guess.

.The Big Society - in England AND Seattle by Amitai Etzioni

This should cure any lingering doubts whether or not England's Big Society is a communitarian concept. And, this is wild, Etzioni says Seattle is one of the most communitarian places in the U.S. After all my personal first hand experiences with LA21 community developers/COPS in Seattle, I have to agree. We were called "trash" and "pigs" in Seattle Communitarian neighborhood meetings. We were accused of "spreading disease, crime and immorality" in Communitarian property takings. We were called wackos and conspiracy theorists for suggesting Seattle was communitarian. heh. Communitarians may believe themselves to be friendly do-gooders, but deny them power over you, and you'll see, like we did, just how friendly they really are.

The Big Society—Beyond Trivia and PR

Critics of the Big Society point to the following anecdote to show that this grand communitarian concept is either trivial or a public relations stunt. A road sign, erected by the government, was repeatedly stolen by pranksters. The mayor asked the members of the community to make donations to buy a new sign. Many did, and the money was used to erect a sign that was much better anchored and hence less likely to be stolen.

Critics, who see in this incident evidence that volunteerism does not amount to much, disregard that volunteers can and do make major contributions to major societal missions. Thus in the United States, over 70% of firefighters are volunteers, and many small communities rely on volunteer first aid squads to handle medical emergencies. On the international front, organizations like Doctors without Borders allow medical professionals to provide aid to underserved parts of the world, and Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteers to build homes for needy families. And the amount of donations made by volunteers is far from trivial. For instance, voluntary donations by Americans to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti amounted to more than $1.3 billion, which compares quite favorably to the amount given by China, namely $15.5 million.

Moreover, one should not take lightly the benefits to the volunteers and donors, above and beyond the benefits to those to whom they reach out. When 400,000 citizens in Seattle, Washington learned to do CPR (nearly one in two), they befriended other volunteers. Such programs are one of the reasons Seattle is one of the friendliest, most communitarian places in the U.S. And social scientists found that when citizens participate in discharging a mission, their expectations are adjusted to the economic and political constraints all such projects face. Thus, they are much less likely to hold that if the government merely put its mind to a given mission, say, cutting fraud and abuse, it would be accomplished in a jiffy. They learn from first-hand experience that progress involves much more effort than it first seems and appreciate much more what is gained. In short, they become better— more reasonable and satisfied—citizens.

Even if one views all volunteerism as Lite Communitarianism, a key component of the Big Society program draws on a societal design that can do heavy lifting; namely, turning over important segments of government work to independent trusts of practitioners, say, health care professionals or educators. For example, the Big Society program calls for setting up “co-ops” of physicians and other health care professionals that will be granted a fixed budget to provide services for a given population in a given area, but with the freedom to allocate these resources in ways they deem will best serve (within broad but enforced national guidelines—for instance, they cannot use these funds to increase their fees beyond some agreed-upon limits). This approach is not driven by volunteerism but is financed by the state, indeed by taxpayer funds. And it involves professionals carrying out their work, not some after-hours mission. The decisions they are making as a group are part of their workday, although these are made much easier than they used to be when the same professionals were all part of the NHS, because now they can proceed with much less red tape and much less need to deal with various layers of government. The same holds for trusts of educators who run schools more or less the way charter schools are run in the United States.

Finally, savings to the public budget come in one obvious and one not-so-obvious way. Obvious savings are generated by the fact that the trusts are granted a fixed amount of money to work with, and they realize that if they need to increase expenditures on some items, it is up to them to find cuts elsewhere. The door is closed to what used to be done in the old days: seek to compel the government to cough up more funds. Less well known is the observation that various local groups are willing to accept some limited cuts in their budgets in return for the much greater autonomy they are granted under the Big Society in the ways they employ these funds.

The Big Society is no panacea or cure-all. However, it can serve to build up the third leg of a good society, the communities, and draw less on the other two: the government and the market.

There is an increased reliance on recruiting Westerners into terrorist organizations, Napolitano said during testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee. State and local law enforcement officers are increasingly needed to combat terror, and a greater focus is needed on aiding law enforcement to help secure communities, she said.

Along with the joint terror task force led by the FBI, the nation's four-pronged counterterrorism response includes locally run "fusion centers" aimed at facilitating intelligence-sharing and analysis; a nationwide reporting initiative for suspicious acts; and the "If you see something, say something" campaign designed to "foster public vigilance," Napolitano added.

The campaign has been rolled out at major public events such as the Super Bowl and at retail centers, Napolitano said.

What's our "potential for crime" analysis? Do we think they have enough of our private data to determine our potential value or problem status in our home community?

And I have to say it, GO PACKERS!!!!, because I was born in Wisconsin and my dad thought Vince Lombardi was a saint worth quoting at every opportunity. Memetics study and meme theoreticians seem preoccupied strictly with influence and persuasion strategies... and so... they also weave in studies of NLP... political science... salesmanship... marketing... game theory... and war. In the end... it all falls under the rubric of... utilitarianism... since [for them]... always... "the end justifies the means."

Why surviving in a Gertee works for me

I'm working on a new article and video of my life in a Gertee. My Gertees are going to be included in a nice English author's book on sheds, coming out this June. That honor, and the growing searches for "are yurts warm?" are part of the big push to get my Gertee Traveler business off the ground right now. I've been sitting on these PVC units for almost a year. Other people are telling my story, and I'd be a fool to not tell my own side too.

These are some of the new pictures that will be in it. I'm doing a blow by blow account of all my daily chores, describing items I use and how I've modified my entire environment to suit my own needs. I think I really understand now why the Mongolians call it a "different universe" inside. I also got a copy of the History Channel's show on The Great Khan and of the Terror he inflicted on all of Asia, the Middle East and into Europe. There are always teepees depicted in ancient Mongolian movies. Why did I ever assume only the American Plains Indians used teepees? :)

And, you know who I think the experts are on building ancient style dwellings? The set makers in movie land! I see gertees in so many historical movies it's amazing. In the History Channel version there's a big yurt on a platform being hauled by 20 oxen! And lots of teepees....

Right now I'd like to say there are 3 things I FOR SURE would hate to get caught without a stash of if the market/dollar/world collapsed. 1. plastic garbage bags, 2. baby wipes, and 3. candles.

RE: 2020/TACM book orders: The revisions are really almost finished. I'm so sorry I felt I had to revise the entire first chapter. I held up the whole process. Now Nordica is reorganizing it all. I should see final copy by the end of this week and promise to make only minor edits, no matter how much I want to add or change. It's very difficult to publish a current events book and revise it 5 years later... too many new developments since 2006. Again, and yes this is practically our mantra now... but I sincerely thank you all for your patience.

This unlisted video is an experiment with product advertising (and copyright negotiations) rather than my usual straight up informational or semi entertaining productions. The music is from my favorite duo back in the 70s. I followed them from their happy hour gigs in Fairbanks to their concerts in Anchorage. They were at all the music festivals too. In 1985, when Nordica was 3 months old, JoAnn's sister, Nancy Malloy choreographed a show I was in, Old Songs and Lipstick. After being a faceless fan for many years I got to know JoAnn personally. Now I'm back to thinking about having a "freedom festival" at Camp Redington this summer... with lots of music, ACL seminars and gertee building. uh huh.
